Julie graduated from the Ontario College of Art & Design in photography and has exhibited her work in various group and solo exhibitions in Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean.

Born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia, Julie worked on the Syfy Channel's television series "Stargate SG-1" and "Stargate Atlantis" for over four years as an interface designer. She continues to work as a graphic artist and web designer at the University of British Columbia, and on the first Sunday of every winter month, she facilitates KNITWIT, the knitting and crocheting class at Blim.

When not in front of the computer, Julie can be found getting crafty, trying to master 4-finger chords, or playing with her 2 cats Butternut and T-box.
